Lanzarote makes a great break  

Lanzarote is the one of the most popular canary islands even though it is only the fourth largest, and has a varied landscape ranging from the green lush leaves by the coast to the other planet like remains of where volcanic activity took place thousands of years ago.

Lanzarote is home to tropical climates that last though the entire year with only a tiny five inches of rainwater falling within 12 months time. Due to it's great records when it comes to weather it makes it a perfect holiday destination regardless of when you decide to go.

Lanzarote has a great balance when it comes to traditional Spanish style and a well catered for tourism base. You will be able to decide ad hoc on what type of day you would like to enjoy due to both being in ample demand. You could even mix up the pair, and spend the day at the pool sipping cocktails and taking part in a volleyball tournament and then spend the evening in a Spanish Tapas restaurant before trying your hand at some traditional style dance!

The variety of attractions and past times available to holiday makers means that this island is a great destination for couples, families, students and older travellers all at the same time.

If you decide to stray from the beach in search of something a little different you will have lots of other choices. You could take a trip to the Rancho Theme park and enjoy some thrills and rollercoaster's. Or perhaps a day trip on a tall ship is more your sort of thing. There are the water parks, the water sports, tours of traditional villages and vineyards and many other less common seen places to enjoy.

If you're concerned about price you will be happy to hear that there is a lot of very reasonably priced accommodation and dining options available within the "tourist areas". You will be able to easily find something within your budget, and many hotels are happy to try and cut costs for you by placing a family in one room with a sofa bed, for example.
